These protections are intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized or accidental destructive actions.

Recovery Vault data:

  • Is removed from normal operational access
  • Is restricted from ordinary employees and administrators
  • Is available only through authorized owner recovery procedures
  • May be retained for a defined recovery period
  • May later become eligible for permanent deletion
Where the underlying hosting platform does not provide Lyan POS with a physical file-deletion capability, application references may be removed while the underlying file remains subject to the hosting provider's storage lifecycle.
Lyan POS will not represent such files as physically deleted when physical deletion cannot be independently performed.

10.Data Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the service
  • Maintain business records
  • Fulfill contractual obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Maintain security and audit records
  • Comply with legal requirements

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information.

Businesses may also have their own legal or regulatory obligations requiring them to retain certain records.

Businesses using Lyan POS are responsible for complying with applicable requirements concerning information they collect from their own customers.

16.Privacy Choices and Requests

Depending on applicable law and the relationship between the individual, the business, and Lyan POS, individuals may have rights regarding their personal information.

Requests concerning information maintained by a merchant through Lyan POS may need to be directed first to that merchant because the merchant controls the business relationship and the information it entered into the platform.

Requests concerning a Lyan POS account may be directed to Lyan POS.
